For more than 24 years, Housing Resources, Inc. has provided emergency, transitional and permanent housing. HRI provides support and assistance to people who are currently homeless as well as Kalamazoo families and individuals in the midst of a housing crisis. 

With the support of the Kalamazoo community, HRI will continue to explore new ways to address homelessness and to ensure every family has a safe, decent and affordable place to call home. 

In 2012 HRI provided housing assistance in the form of rent payments, rental subsidies or other housing assistance to 2,028 individuals in Kalamazoo County. 983 of those individuals were children. 

63 families were served in 2012 at Eleanor House, our family shelter. This number included more than 210 individuals, with 131 of them being children.
