hanah and locks of love

My boss Tracy has a pretty awesome daughter. Her name is Hanah, she is 9 years old and she just donated her hair to Locks of Love! How awesome is that?!

Here is the before picture of this sweet little girl who selflessly made a choice to donate her hair on her own.

Locks of Love will take her hair and create a hairpiece for a child who is suffering from  long-term medical hair loss from any diagnosis. These hairpieces can go to anyone under the age of 21 who otherwise may not be able to afford it.
Having a hairpiece to wear helps restore a sense of self and normalcy to these children, enabling them to face the world and their peers with confidence again.

The minimum amount needed to donate is 10 inches, which Hanah just passed. Click here for the rest of the guidelines on how to donate your own hair.

Don't have long enough hair? You can also plan an event or talk to your own salon about becoming a participating salon.

I still have a few more inches before I can make my trip to the salon...but I'm getting there! Thanks to Hanah for being such an awesome inspiration. You are wonderful--and your new hair cut is BEAUTIFUL!

Be the change. Make the difference.
