ConAgra Foods [they really do make great food] and Feeding America [the nation's leading domestic hunger relief charity] are joining forces to fight child hunger.
More than one in five children in the
United States doesn’t know where his next meal is coming from. But,
there is hope and there are ways to help.
To participate, consumers can buy brands including Banquet, Chef Boyardee, Healthy Choice, Hunt's, Marie Callender's, Manwich, Oriville Redenbacher's, Peter Pan and Snack Pack and enter the eight-digit purchase code
from specially marked packages of select ConAgra Foods brands here.
For each code entered through August 31, 2012, ConAgra Foods will
donate one meal to Feeding America. Consumers can also submit their zip
code to enter their local Feeding America food bank into a competition
to receive an 80,000 meal donation ($10,000) from ConAgra Foods.
In return for entering a code, consumers can also download
original versions of the “Here’s Hope” song recorded by Jewel, Owl City
and Jay Sean.
ConAgra Foods has committed to donate 5 million meals to Feeding
America during the 2011-12 school year.
