As I mentioned before, this water purification system from Clean Water For The World can be installed anywhere. The entire system fits into a box that weighs 35lbs.
People can pour water they get from the same open well or river they usually use into the system.
The water passes through a simple cotton paper filter which removes particles from the water that could provide protection for deadly pathogens. Then, it passes through a stainless steel ultra-violet light chamber that sterilizes the pathogens and renders them non-viable.
When the water comes out of the faucet it is completely pure and free of any harmful bacteria. This little box unit can produce up to FIVE gallons of pure water per minute!
CW4W appoints one person in each community to keep up with the regular maintenance of the system. All they have to do is replace the cotton paper filter every one or two months, clean the glass sleeve around the UV light when replacing the filter and replace the ultra-violet bulb once a year.
I am hoping to see one of these systems in person and take more pictures soon! In the meantime, I want to see YOUR pictures of your water bottles! Email them to me @ spennerphotography@gmail.com
Again, the goal this month is collecting $700 to pay for just ONE system! Please email me if you still need a water bottle, or click here to go to the Clean Water For The World website to learn more and make a financial donation on your own!
Be the change. Make the difference.
