schools of hope video.

I came across this video today about the Schools of Hope program through the Heart of West Michigan United Way. As you may remember from previous posts, the Schools of Hope program provides reading tutors to the children of Grand Rapids. Each week, their tutor meets with them for at least 30 minutes and reads with them, building confidence and increasing their reading skills.

Thirty minutes may not seem like a lot, but it can enhance the child's reading abilities beyond even what the tutor may see at the time. The students regular teacher is the one who sees the progress throughout the year, and in this video the teachers share their stories.

If you have an extra half an hour each week and are looking for a way to get involved, this is the way to do it! You could impact the life of a young student in GR forever. Click here for more information on how to sign up!

Be the change. Make the difference.
