Ronald McDonald House Care Mobile

The third part of what the Ronald McDonald House does is the Ronald McDonald Care Mobile. Using a 40 foot long by 8 feet wide state of the art vehicle designed specifically for pediatric care uses, these mobiles are stationed in needed areas of the United States and around the world to help children in need of basic health care.

Each vehicle has two patient examination rooms, a laboratory, and areas for record keeping. They provide cost-effective, high quality medical, dental and health services, and deliver health education to prevent future problems. Depending on the specific community needs, the Ronald McDonald Care Mobiles can also include additional things ranging from immunizations, mental health assessments, and oral hygiene education.

If you click here you can find more details about the Mobiles and more facts provided by the RMHC. The fact that stood out to me the most on this page is this:
"Each year, nearly 10 million children die worldwide, mostly from preventable and treatable causes."
This is NOT okay. Not okay at all. If you would like to help out this month and donate directly to the Ronald McDonald House Charities, click here. Or if you would like to collect pop tabs and donate them to the Ronald McDonald House of Western Michigan, you can get them to me by the end of the month. OR you can shop at Thirty One and select my party for a percentage of the sales to go to the RMHC!

Be the change. Make the difference.
